SEPULTURA to forge ahead on tour without Igor Cavalera
|
With March 14th set as the release date for the latest Sepultura opus, "Dante XXI", the group looks forward to a March tour European tour with In Flames without founding member Igor Cavalera behind the drum kit.
As Cavalera takes time off to devote attention to his new son Antonio, Roy Mayorga (ex-Soulfly) will man the skins for the major Brazillian heavy metal attraction's upcoming dates in Europe.
In an exclusive interview with The Gauntlet, Sepultura bassist Paulo stated "We decided it was not really the right moment to stop the band, at the release of the record. We got an agreement between us that we want to bring a different drummer to do just the tour. We're ready to tour, to get back on the road. It was all of our decision. It was a very democratic decision."
The tour kicks off in Oslo, Norway on March 12th.
